horrific pay They pay $25/hour. A bit more than double the minimum wage!!! For someone with a doctorate in law and with strong writing and editing skills. Barbri should be embarrassed. There are lots of unemployed lawyers, so Barbri can get away with it. They do not get the best people for this hourly wage. They do not get anything close to the best people. But they do get graders that are good enough. Worse than the graders are the tutors. Back when I worked for Barbri, they were charging **more than $300/hour to students for individual tutoring. But they were (and still are!!!) paying that same crappy $25/hour to the tutors. In other words, they keep well over 90% of what they charge students. Shocking, and an utter rip-off to the tutors--who are doing the actual work. I turned down Barbri's request that I do tutoring, due to the horrific pay scheme they concocted.
