Amanda Wilkie is a political consultant, specializing in public and stakeholder relations, communications and strategic planning.
Amanda Wilkie looks forward to the success of her municipal election candidate in October 2013, and to being active in the engagement of youth and young adults in politics. Amanda Wilkie's future goal is to use her experience in local and provincial politics to encourage young people to make a positive difference in their community through political avenues.
Amanda Wilkie graduated from the University of Calgary in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, majoring in International Relations and completing a minor in German. Amanda went on to study Energy Asset Management and Petroleum Land Administration at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. During this time, Amanda was a youth mentor with the AMFY organization. For eight years, Amanda Wilkie has been an Events Manager with a local catering company. After completing a contract with Niska Gas Storage, Amanda was hired as Manager of Memberships and Contributions with the Wildrose Alliance Party for a year. This was followed by a contract position as a Mineral Lease Administrator with Perpetual Energy, in her goal of becoming a Mineral Landman in the oil and gas industry. Amanda Wilkie was Executive Assistant and a key strategist for Rick Orman during his campaign for the PC Party leadership in 2011 and was subsequently hired in the Premier's Southern Alberta Office as Executive Assistant to the Executive Director.
