Calista is a freelance writer specializing in creative and technical writing, blog owner at www.mommymakesamess.com, virtual assistant, and work at home mother raising two daughters, Caroline and Scarlett, all while working on her second book, and first full length memoir about her family dynamics and growing up with her grandmother.

After graduating with honors from Heidelberg University, Calista took a job as an English teacher at a charter school for at risk high school students. A move to Toledo, caused her to resign from her position for the next school year, but she began working at another charter school After the birth of her second daughter in August of 2016, she decided to stay at home and pursue her dream of being a full time writer.
Calista plans to grow her freelance business, as well as publish her memoir about her family dynamics. She would also like to grow and monetize her blog by helping other mothers become financially set while still staying at home with their own children. She would like to create more ebooks helping other mothers learn to make money from home.
