Parlux Fragrances is likely to blame for those shopping trips to the mall that end in sneezing fits. The fragrance and beauty products (lotions, creams, soaps) maker is licensed to make (through subcontractors) about a dozen brands, including Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Kayne West, Nicole Miller, Queen Latifah, and Rhianna, to name a few. Parlux distributes mostly prestige fragrances, but also some mass-market scents, through some 2,500 retail outlets and about 360 Perfumania specialty retail shops in the US. Customers include retailers and department stores (Belk, Macy's, JCPenney) in 80 countries thanks to distributors from Canada to the Caribbean. Fellow fragrance company Perfumania is buying Parlux.
