TriSep Corporation was founded in 1989 by Peter Knappe and Jim Bartlett Jr. The company started out manufacturing cellulose acetate replacement elements and has evolved into a full-service membrane manufacturing company with a broad array of products. In 1991, TriSep purchased the spiral wound assets from DuPont Corporation, giving the company the technology to manufacture state-of-the-art composite membranes. Today cellulose acetate is a small part of the company?s sales, having been replaced by composites, new asymmetric MF and UF membranes, and support chemicals. TriSep Corporation manufactures spiral wound membrane separation elements and chemicals. These products are used in a variety of applications, including water treatment, industrial water purification, waste water, food processing, dairy applications and many others.
