You might say this magazine publisher is really in fashion. Hachette Filipacchi UK, a regional operating unit of magazine publisher Lagardère Active, publishes about 10 titles in the UK, including fashion magazines Elle, Elle Decoration, and Sugar. Its portfolio also includes such lifestyle titles as Psychologies, Real Homes, and Red. For fans of TV serials, Lagardère Active publishes Inside Soap and All About Soap. The company is part of French media conglomerate Lagardère. Hearst Corporation is buying Hachette Filipacchi UK, as part of a massive deal involving the acquisition of Lagardère's international magazine business. The deal is occuring in stages, with the UK portion set to close later in 2011.
