Texas Association of Counties

Texas Association of Counties (TAC) provides member-driven services and resources to all 254 Texas counties, including more than 4,600 county officials. In short, we help county government function more efficiently, allowing officials to deliver better value to local taxpayers. TAC employees serve those who serve their community. Mission: The Association’s constitution spells out its purpose: - To coordinate and augment the efforts of county officials to provide a responsive form of government to the people of Texas; - To further the interest of local government for the people of Texas; and - To assist the people and the counties in accomplishing their goals toward meeting the challenge of modern society.
