Lycatel was founded in 2002, and started as a small calling card provider in London, UK. Overtime, the business grew to become the largest calling card provider in Europe. By 2006-7, Lycatel became more synonymous with support services to the new Lycamobile SIM card service rather than calling cards themselves which had begun to decline in popularity. Mission: (2005) to be the largest calling card company in Europe
