Cornerstone Family Healthcare

Forty-six years ago, four VISTA volunteers came to the Newburgh area in response to a need that they saw to help provide basic health care to the many migrant workers and their families in the area. The organization they created has become Cornerstone Family Healthcare. From our humble beginnings, our Center now provides more than 25,000 adults and children in our region with their comprehensive health care. Last year, we provided primary and preventative health care services totaling more than 175,000 patient visits. Our staff of more than 300 employees includes over 40 Board Certified/Board Eligible Physicians, and Dentists, Physician?s Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Social work and Counseling staff. A large number of our employees are bilingual in Spanish, and the Family Health Center provides health care services through translation in many other languages as well. Mission: The purpose of Cornerstone Family Healthcare, a non-profit organization, is to provide high quality, comprehensive, primary and preventative health care services in an environment of caring, respect, and dignity, and in a cost effective manner that maximizes revenues; to be responsive to the needs of the communities that we serve but with continued emphasis on the underserved and those without access to care regardless of race, economic status, age, sex, sexual orientation, or disability.
