In 1998, two (somewhat) ordinary guys named Chip and Matt started a comfort revolution. Their goal? To create a better bean bag. The result was the FUF and that was only the beginning. 20 years later, one clever idea has expanded in unbelievably?you might even say absurdly?awesome ways. We?re now known as Comfort Research and we design and manufacture much more than just bean bags. In fact, you might say we create lifestyles. Our Big Joe and Big Joe Lux products range from indoor to outdoor and are made for kids, pets, college students, and full-blown adults. What makes us different from the other guys is in our name: Research. Like mad scientists in a lab, we?ve had our fair share of ?it?s alive!? moments. Some we?ve had to lock away forever, but most can be found both inside and outside of products. Today and for the future, we continue to grow and innovate, focusing on comfort, research, design, and value. Mission:?Any company can have a mission statement, but not every company knows their ?why.? We don?t just know what we do and how to do it; we know why we do it. Our ?why? is simple: to bring comfort for all. That comes through not only in developing comfortable products that are accessible to everyone, but also in our behavior within our four walls and out in the community. We believe in finding a better way, expecting the best, and doing the right thing. Always. Most importantly, we have fun doing it.
