Located on three acres in Forest Hills, Queens with 150+ years of helping people overcome entrenched poverty and become leaders in their communities, Forestdale is committed to providing resources that strengthen struggling communities in Queens, ?The Borough of Immigrants?. Core services include foster care for children who have been neglected and abused; comprehensive services to non-custodial fathers seeking redemption; wrap around programs for teens at risk for STI?s and unplanned pregnancy; comprehensive services for pregnant and parenting teens that meet their health, school, and career needs; and crisis intervention to keep system-involved families together (most of whom are immigrants). Forestdale provides educational advocacy; access to good jobs that lead to fulfilling careers and state of the art health care for 1,500 families in high risk neighborhoods throughout Queens.
