Bodine Electric

Bodine Electric makes electric motors, with more than 1,000 standard motors and thousands of custom gearmotors, motion controls, and motors available. The company, which made the first electric motor for a dental drill back in the early 1900s, now makes fractional-horsepower electric motors, gear motors, and controls for commercial, industrial, and OEM applications. Products include AC, DC, and brushless DC motors, as well as electronic motion controls. The company also makes fine-pitch gears for metalworking and specialty machinery, and custom builds motors. Founded in 1905 by brothers Carl and Paul Bodine, the company is still owned by the Bodine family.
