Puppets are just a few of the creatures to come from this entertainment company. Best known for the creation of such Muppets as Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy (now owned by The Walt Disney Company), The Jim Henson Company today continues to produce television and film content aimed primarily at children. Its shows include Sid the Science Kid and Pajanimals (both produced for the Public Broadcasting Service). The company is also involved in post-production and special effects services through its TV and film studios and the Jim Henson Creature Shop. In addition, it has recording facilities used by commercial recording artists. Jim Henson started the company in 1958; it is run by his son Brian and daughter Lisa.
