It has about 800 female undergraduates, as well as nearly 300 students in its graduate school, which is coeducational. A private institution emphasizing the liberal arts, Hollins offers undergraduate majors and graduate degrees (MFAs and MAs) in subjects such as creative writing, liberal studies, children's literature, teaching, and film studies.
