Sunrise Telecom is hoping for a brand new day. After teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, the company is ready to take the call for new business. Sunrise Telecom makes broadband network access equipment testing products for communications service providers. Its DSL testing equipment helps providers verify that their equipment is working and pinpoint potential problems. Sunrise also makes products for testing cable, fiber-optic, and telephone signaling connections. Its 2,000-plus customers include AT&T, BT Group, NTT, and Time Warner Cable. The company earns more than half of its revenue from outside the US. Co-founder and CTO Paul Marshall is its largest shareholder, with a 23% stake.
