Maria's Italian Kitchen

This kitchen brings a little of the East Coast to the West Coast. Maria's Holdings runs a chain of about 10 casual dining restaurants in the Los Angeles area that operate under the name Maria's Italian Kitchen. The eateries offer traditional Italian dishes along with pizza and sandwiches; some locations also feature a breakfast menu. The restaurants provide take-out service in addition to dine-in seating. Family matriarch Maria Alfano, steeped in the cooking styles of Hoboken, New Jersey, opened her first take-out restaurant in 1975. The first full-service location opened in 1985 in Sherman Oaks, California.
