These Mawrters aren't sacrificing anything, especially when it comes to their education. Bryn Mawr is a college for women, often referred to as Mawrters, who hail from all over the world. Its undergraduate programs, including biology, English, math, political science, and psychology, enroll more than 1,300. Bryn Mawr also offers degrees through its co-educational Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, which enrolls some 425 students. The college pools resources with Haverford to offer arts courses. Founded in 1885, Bryn Mawr is one of the oldest women's colleges in the United States, and was the first to offer women an education through the Ph.D. level.
