Glasgow

No Scottish brogue here. Just a heavy highway construction contractor named after its founder Samuel Glasgow. Established in 1910, Glasgow, Inc. has been staking a reputation for its highway construction work throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey, but it also helps build airports, dams, nuclear power plants, parking lots, and utilities. The firm's other two divisions focus on construction materials supply and reclamation. The company owns and operates more than a half dozen asphalt plants and crushed stone quarries, as well as two clean fill reclamation facilities that accept uncontaminated soil, unpainted brick, block, stone, concrete, and used asphalt. Glasgow is privately owned.
