Seeing a psychiatrist can take up to 3 months and cost as much as $500. Shocked? Us too. That’s why we started Cerebral, a telemedicine-first mental health startup. We are breaking down the barriers to access to mental healthcare so that anybody can get the care and meds they need immediately and for just $99/month. We launched publicly in January 2020, and are growing at over 60% month-over-month. Cerebral takes a one-stop shop approach to mental health care: we provide our clients with both evidence-based therapeutic techniques and medication management, as the combination of both types of care has been shown to have the greatest benefits. Cerebral operates in a telemedicine model, meaning clients are able to schedule visits with their provider, therapist, or Care Counselor when it’s most convenient for them. Mission: Our mission is to improve access to high-quality mental health care. Mental health issues affect roughly 50% of the general population, but factors like cost, convenience, and fear of judgment often prevent people from accessing quality mental health treatment. Cerebral aims to break down these barriers to accessing quality care, and develop meaningful, ongoing relationships with our clients in order to ensure their treatment is as tailored and successful as possible.
