In 2004, Tarelle Osborn founded OCI. She envisioned a work environment that matched her own personal values, which are ingrained throughout the company today as our Core Values: •Professionalism – in all aspects of the firm’s work •Collaboration and Creativity •Health and Well Being •Laughter and Fun •Relationships •Growth and Learning By 2013, OCI had grown from a firm of one to 10 employees. At this time Tarelle began transitioning the company ownership to committed and interested employees in order to assure the continuity of the firm and allow for continued growth. OCI now has a diverse group of employee-owners. Annually this group of owners elects the company’s five-person Board of Directors. OCI’s Executive Officers, responsible for the day-to-day management of the company, have been chosen by our Board of Directors. For many years Tarelle served as the sole executive and President of the company. As the company grew, so did the need for additional leadership. As of 2021, we have four Executive Officers. In 2019, Cascade Design Collaborative, a Seattle-based Landscape Architecture and Urban Design firm, joined OCI, bringing their staff and expertise to the team. Mission: OCI strives to provide creative, practical, and up-to-date planning and engineering design solutions for all aspects of surface water and utility projects and compliance requirements in the Pacific Northwest.
