Long Beach Memorial Medical Center (LBMMC) is an old-timer in the Long Beach health care market. A subsidiary of Memorial Health Services, LBMMC provides a full range of health services to residents of the Long Beach, California, area. The medical center, a more than 460-bed acute-care hospital, was founded in 1907 and is one of the largest private hospitals on the West coast. Services include primary, emergency, diagnostic, surgical, therapeutic, and rehabilitative care. The hospital is home to centers for treatment of cancer, heart, stroke, and women's and children's health concerns. It also provides home and hospice care programs, as well as occupational health services.
