OCEAN includes the ocean activities (Maersk, Safmarine, and Sealand – A Maersk Company) together with Hamburg Sud brands (Hamburg Sud and Aliança) as well as strategic transshipment hubs under the APM Terminals brand (Rotterdam, Maasvlakte II, Algeciras, Tangiers, Tangier-Med II, Port Said and joint ventures in Salalah, Tanjung Pelepas and Bremerhaven). LOGISTICS & SERVICES has five main activities: supply chain management, intermodal, inland services, freight forwarding and other services that include warehousing, distribution, and other value-added services as well as trade finance. TERMINALS & TOWAGE includes gateway terminals involving landside activities being port activities where the customers are mainly the carriers, and towage services under the Svitzer brand. MANUFACTURING & OTHERS includes the activities of Maersk Container Industry with the production and sale of reefer containers and dry containers. Others include the third-party activities of Maersk Oil Trading and bulk activities taken over as part of the Hamburg Sud transaction. However, these bulk activities were divested in January 2019.
