Hydranautics is a manufacturer of water purification equipment. The company's products, which are sold worldwide, use a process called membrane separation to purify water for such purposes as seawater desalination, surface water treatment, and agricultural irrigation and pharmaceutical preparation. Hydranautics serves a wide range of clients; it has supplied equipment to the Ministry of Agriculture in Cyprus for a seawater desalination plant, and the Orange County Water District for a water purification facility in southern California, and it is marketing energy-saving membranes to the Chinese industrial water market. The company is a unit of Osaka-based industrial adhesives manufacturer Nitto Denko.
