Social Thinking, founded by Michelle Garcia Winner, is named after Michelle’s unique approach to teaching communication and relationship building that is now used all over the world. Social Thinking generates and teaches lessons for improving social learning that can be used broadly with students with social cognitive deficits, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, Social communication disorders, Gifted & Talented, and those undiagnosed with strong language skills but relatively weak social intelligence. Social Thinking’s core information can also be applied at home, in the community, and in the mainstream classroom as part of Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports, Character Building, Response to Intervention, Social Emotional Learning Initiatives (CASEL), as well as with adults in the workplace.
