Nextera Enterprises has moved from consulting to cosmetics. The company, which had been looking for business opportunities after selling its consulting operations in 2003, acquired cosmetics marketer Woodridge Labs for $27 million in 2006. Woodridge develops and sells niche personal care products under a variety of brands, including Vita-K Solution, DermaFreeze365, Pssssst!, and TurboShave, to name a few. The company's products are sold by retailers such as Walgreens and CVS. An investment group led by one-time junk bond king Michael Milken, his brother Lowell Milken, and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison controls the company.
