Oregon State University (OSU) offers about 200 undergraduate and more than 80 graduate degree programs at about a dozen colleges and schools, including nationally recognized programs in engineering, environmental sciences, forestry, and pharmacy. The university is also home to centers of marine science and gene research and biotechnology, a wave research laboratory, and the Linus Pauling Institute. It also offers professional, certificate, non-degree, and extension programs, as well as precollege programs for elementary and high school students. In addition to its main campus in Corvallis, the university operates OSU-Cascades in Bend, Oregon. OSU has an annual enrollment of more than 18,000 students.
