Vital Signs wants you to take a deep breath and keep breathing, whether you're going under for surgery or peacefully sleeping through the night. A unit of GE Healthcare's Clinical Consumables division since 2008, Vital Signs makes disposable medical products used to help patients breathe during surgery, in critical care settings, and to treat sleep disorders. Its anesthesia products include face masks and tubes, while its respiratory/critical care unit makes infant and manual resuscitators, dry heparin arterial blood gas samplers, and other patient monitoring products. Joint venture subsidiary Sleep Services of America diagnoses such sleep disorders as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) at its labs in seven states.
