IVP (Institutional Venture Partners) has been making Silicon Valley verdant with cash for nearly three decades. The company, which closed its sixteenth fund in 2017, has more than $7 billion of committed capital; it has owned stakes in more than 400 companies, more than 110 of which have gone public. IVP targets later-stage fast-growing technology firms in the consumer and enterprise sectors. Portfolio companies include AppDynamics, Dropbox, GitHub, LegalZoom, Slack, Snap, Supercell, Twitter. Venture capital industry pioneer Reid Dennis founded IVP in 1980.
