The first line of code for what would become the Xero software was written in a small Wellington apartment in 2006. Our founder, Rod Drury, knew there had to be a better solution for small business owners so he set out to create beautiful software that delivered real-time data in a simple, smart, and secure way. We quickly outgrew the studio apartment and today, we have over 2 million subscribers with 3,000 Xeros supporting our small businesses and partners across the globe.
