Students get their academic wings at Buffalo. The University of Buffalo (UB) is a flagship institution of the State University of New York system. The school enrolls some 56,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at its three primary campuses in Buffalo and Amherst, New York. Academic offerings include professional degrees in architecture, business, education, engineering, law, and social work. UB was founded in 1846 as a medical college and still has schools of dental medicine, medicine, biomedical science, nursing, pharmaceutical science, and public health.
