Givens Estates Part of Givens Communities

Givens Estates is a nonprofit continuing care retirement community located on a 215-acre campus in Asheville, North Carolina. The organization was incorporated in 1975. The first residents moved to Givens in 1979. Currently, there are approximately 800 residents in a variety of living options including residential living, assisted living and health care. In October 2007, the Great Laurels of Junaluska opened in Haywood County. This addition to Givens community includes 100 affordable apartments for residents of limited means. Mission: Givens Estates United Methodist Retirement Community is a Christian, ecumenical not-for-profit corporation committed to providing the full continuum of quality care to seniors within its community and to providing outreach ministries in the larger community. Through our ongoing commitment to wellness--integrating mind, body and spirit--Givens Estates is dedicated to meeting the emerging needs of current and future residents in finding fulfillment, dignity and purpose in daily living.
