Chicago has some cool architecture, due, in part, to the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). The school offers more than 15 undergraduate degree programs in engineering, science, psychology, architecture, business, and design. It has about 100 master's, doctoral, and graduate certificate programs. In addition to three campuses in Chicago, IIT also has locations in Summit-Argo (Moffet campus) and Wheaton (Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice campus). The institute has an enrollment of more than 7,000 undergraduate, graduate, business school, and law school students. IIT was created in 1940 by the merger of Armour Institute (founded in 1893) with Lewis Institute (established in 1895).
