During the latter years of the 1960's, a group headed by Dr. John Norris began working to bring the vision of a visiting nurse association for the Lake Sunapee region to reality. Prior to that time, each town had a nurse who would travel to provide education, immunizations and treatment. Through these efforts, Kearsarge Visiting Nurse Association was founded and incorporated in January 1970 as a not-for-profit home health care organization. KVNA served the towns of New London, Newbury, Wilmot, Bradford, Warner, Sutton, Andover and Danbury. Today, we serve more than 25 New Hampshire towns spanning 1,900+ square miles in Grafton, Merrimack and Sullivan counties. We provide skilled medical care, personal care services and hospice care in the home setting. Additionally, we offer many community-based health and education programs. Mission: As the leading provider of home health care services in the Lake Sunapee, Upper Valley and Connecticut Valley regions of New Hampshire, Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice provides an unmatched quality of care to those it serves, is the preferred place to work and volunteer, and remains an adaptive and enduring presence with an unsurpassed breadth of service offerings.
