Principal Global Investors

Principal Global Investors is the institutional asset management division of Principal Financial Group (aka The Principal). The firm manages approximately $230 billion of assets mainly for retirement plans and other institutional clients such as foundations, endowments, insurance companies, investment banks, and government entities. A majority of assets under management are invested in fixed income securities, but the company also focuses on equities, real estate, and alternative investments. Principal Global Investors and its affiliates have more than a dozen offices in the US, Brazil, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
