If it's true, as your high school drama teacher insisted, that the secret to success lies in using your diaphragm, then Wilden Pumps & Engineering should have no problem at all. The company, a part of Dover Corporation's Pump Solutions Group, manufactures air-operated double-diaphragm pumps used by pharmaceutical makers, chemical manufacturers, and companies in the semiconductor, oil and gas, and process industries. In late 2004 it acquired the German double-diaphragm pump maker Almatec. Three years later it snatched up Griswold Pump Company, which makes centrifugal pumps.
