Veterans Advantage

Veterans Advantage is a registered public benefit company that delivers military marketing, media, and technology services for its business partners who offer a military discount. Its signature military verification API services are provided through a product called MilVet ID. Veterans Advantage also hosts a benefits program for American veterans and their families. Its members, who can join for free or upgrade for paid premium services, benefit from discounts on products and services such as air travel, hotels, car rentals, bus travel, prescriptions, phone services, dining and entertainment, products for home and office such as appliances, computers, tax preparation, insurance, and other retail goods. Business partners use preferred pricing to create a military discount in exchange for having their products and services marketed to active duty, military veterans, and their families who are Veterans Advantage members. Veterans Advantage also supports efforts to raise awareness of veterans' contributions and veteran employment. The company was founded in 2001 by CEO Scott Higgins, a former Army lieutenant, Vietnam veteran, Wall Street executive, and co-chair of the New York Vietnam Veterans Memorial Commission, and his spouse, Lin Higgins, who is the proud daughter of a WWII Marine Corps veteran and former banking professional.
