Super Service provides dry van and flatbed truckload freight transportation. In addition to for-hire freight hauling, the company offers dedicated contract carriage, in which drivers and equipment are assigned to a customer long-term. Other activities include transport of pressurized gases and liquid chemicals, and handling of temperature-controlled freight. Super Service's transportation operations are supported by about 1,200 tractors and 2,500 trailers. Super Service was created in 2010 from the merger of GTS Transportation and LCT Transportation Services, part of the remains of Gainey Corp., a former business that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy relief and was purchased by Wayzata Capital late 2009.
