Mission:?Skytap?s mission is to make the public cloud compatible with traditional applications that are anchored in the data center. We do this through a purpose-built cloud service, designed specifically to provide native capabilities to deploy and develop traditional applications in the public cloud. Once in Skytap these traditional applications can leverage the benefits of the public cloud, including self-service, agility, capacity on demand and consumption pricing, as they execute against their cloud strategy. Our application-centric approach enables a full application lifecycle with support for a wide variety of technologies as well as partner solutions for HA & DR, agile development and virtual training. Founded in 2006 we?ve spent a decade working closely with enterprises globally, we pioneered the path for IBM Power Systems to the cloud, first announcing our support for AIX in 2017, then Linux, followed by IBM i in 2019.
