Settlement Home for Children

The Settlement Home for Children is a private, licensed nonprofit that cares for children who come from abusive and neglectful backgrounds. We believe that when we support all children as a community, together we can create a healthier future for Texas. Located in North Austin, The Home serves individuals who have experienced severe emotional trauma, abuse and neglect. We provide 24-hour care to help children in foster care access the materials and support they need to restore and preserve a permanent sense of well-being. Each of our programs builds a foundation for children so that they can develop a set of skills and beliefs that lead to self-efficacy. The support we provide includes taking care of children?s therapeutic counseling, emotional needs and physical health, providing nourishing meals and opportunities for exercise, helping them develop healthy relationships and supporting their academic growth.
