From iconic lighting and furniture to analog clocks, art and domestic utility goods, our aim is to create the next generation of heirlooms. Along with Schoolhouse originals manufactured inside our Portland factory, we are proud to collaborate with other talented makers outside our walls to offer an eclectic assortment of quality, one-of-a-kind goods for productive, modern living. Schoolhouse was founded by Brian Faherty in 2003 following his discovery of a long-lost collection of cast-iron glass shade molds in an abandoned warehouse. After carefully restoring them back into production, the hard-working team at Schoolhouse has continued to grow every year since. The heart of Schoolhouse lives in Portland, Oregon inside an over-century-old brick factory building. Mission:?To provide a new generation of heirlooms that inspire people to create unique, meaningful spaces in which to live and work.
