Metropolitan Ministries

At Metropolitan Ministries, Hope is our goal. We have been committed to that goal since 1972. We believe Hope starts with a meal. Metropolitan Ministries serves 2,500 meals a day to men, women, and children throughout Tampa Bay. A meal may be the first form of alleviation, but it?s through our programs where healing can begin for poor and homeless families. Hope comes to life when someone realizes their future could be different. That?s what all of our services are about. We?re focused on not only helping people believe that a better future is possible, but also empowering them to make that future a reality. Hope can?t be measured. That?s why we look at results. The results show that our donor-funded programs transform families forever. Mission:?Our mission is to care for the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in our community through services that alleviate suffering, promote dignity and instill self-sufficiency... as an expression of the ongoing ministry of Jesus Christ.
