Messina Hof's rich wine heritage of Winemaker, Paul V. Bonarrigo dates back six generations to Messina, Sicily. His wife, Merrill Bonarrigo's family originates from Hof, Germany. They have pioneered the Texas wine industry in creating premium wines of distinction & a landmark wine country destination. Paul & Merrill have one son, Paul Mitchell Bonarrigo, who since his youth worked in the vineyard & studied winemaking and viniculture traditions. After serving as a United States Marine Corps Officer, Paul M. Bonarrigo became CEO in 2012. He & his wife, Karen Bonarrigo, are continuing the legacy of world-class wines & hospitality while also creating new frontiers. Messina Hof has experienced incredible growth & has doubled in size since 2012. Messina Hof is a leader in the Texas Wine Industry. Messina Hof Wine Cellars, Inc. includes Messina Hof Winery Resort in Bryan, Texas, Messina Hof Hill Country Winery in Fredericksburg, Texas and Messina Hof Grapevine Winery in Grapevine, Texas. Messina Hof will open Messina Hof Harvest Green Winery and Kitchen in Richmond, Texas outside of Houston in late 2020.
