Merchants Group

Merchants Group consists of Merchants Insurance Company of New Hampshire, which sells property/casualty insurance to preferred-risk individuals and small to medium-sized businesses, primarily in the Northeast. Actual merchants and other commercial customers account for the majority of the company's business -- ranging from family restaurants to handymen and contractors. The company's products include automobile, homeowners, commercial multiperil, and workers' compensation policies. Merchants Group works in conjunction with New York-based Merchants Mutual Insurance, which provides the operation with facilities, investment management, marketing, and personnel.
