In 1991, a Finnish computer science student named Linus Torvalds decided to create a free operating system in his spare time. Few people paid attention. Fast forward three decades and somehow, when no one was looking, Linux devoured the entire server market. Well, some people noticed. We did. We also noticed that securing Linux across cloud and data center environments takes a different kind of approach. Retrofitting traditional Windows and endpoint security products don?t do the job. And that is especially true in modern environments with containers and microservices and such. But as both Linux and security experts, we decided we were up for the challenge. Are you? We?re solving big problems (data center-sized problems) with a mission in mind ? keep Linux hosts safe however and wherever they?re deployed, making both Security & Ops teams happy. In order to do that, it?s just as important to keep our Capsule8 team happy.
