FPInnovations (an umbrella group consisting of FERIC, Forintek, Paprican, and the Wood Fibre Centre of Natural Resources Canada) is a not-for-profit member organization dedicated to forest research and the paper production industry. The organization has research laboratories and pilot plant facilities in Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia. It offers postgraduate programs at three Canadian colleges (McGill University, University of British Columbia, and ?cole Polytechnique), as well as short-term professional development courses. More than half of FPInnovations support comes from Canada's wood and paper manufacturers and suppliers, with the rest from the Canadian federal government and its provinces.
