Avalex Technologies was founded in 1992 by our president, Jurgen (Tad) Ihns. Fueled by his dual passions of flying and engineering, Tad embarked on a personal mission to design innovative avionics solutions that would address the problems that he knew, being a pilot himself, mattered to those in the aerospace industry. That personal mission is now the shared mission of a large team of like-minded experts. From our innovative engineers, representing all engineering disciplines, to our support staff whose diverse roles enable the functioning of this full-service, design-to-build company, we comprise the Avalex that is known today as a leading innovator in the design and manufacture of rugged avionics and electronics for defense, law enforcement, search and rescue and commercial operators, both here in the United States and globally. Our rugged products include communications management units, smart multi-function displays, tablets, digital mapping systems, digital video recorders, mission computers, and cockpit pressure oxygen warning systems.
