Weiss Memorial Hospital

Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital serves the residents of Chicago's North Side. The facility has about 340 beds and a medical staff of some 400 physicians covering more than 25 specialties. It conducts medical research and education programs through its affiliation with the University of Chicago Medical Center. Weiss offers a complete range of services for adults, including orthopedics, cardiology, vascular health, rehabilitation, cancer care, geriatrics, and women's health care. Specialty divisions provide laboratory, radiology, wound healing, and hospice care. Vanguard Health Systems owns 80% of the hospital and the University of Chicago Medical Center owns the rest.
