University Bancorp

University Bancorp is the holding company for University Bank. From one branch in Ann Arbor (the home of The University of Michigan), the bank offers standard services such as deposit accounts and loans. It mainly originates residential mortgages, with commercial mortgages, business loans, and consumer loans rounding out its lending activities. Shariah-compliant banking services (banking consistent with Islamic law) are offered through University Islamic Financial, which operates within University Bank's office. University Bancorp also owns University Insurance and Investments Services, and a majority of Midwest Loan Services, which provides mortgage origination and subservicing to credit unions.
