Sterling Foods

The smell of baked goods keeps 'em coming back to Sterling Foods for more. The company produces a variety of specialty baked goods for national restaurant and supermarket chains, weight-management companies, the US military, and K-12 schools. Its products include gourmet cakes, loaf cakes and muffins, biscuits and bread, and cookies and brownies. Olive Garden and Red Lobster are among its customers; it is also the largest supplier of shelf-stable baked goods to the US Department of Defense. Sterling Foods was founded in 1971 and acquired by TGF Management at the end of 2008. TGF is joined by private equity firm Austin Ventures and members of Sterling's management team as part owners.
