Southern Specialties is really something special. The Pompano Beach, Florida-based company imports and markets regular and tropical fruits and vegetables. It offers white and green asparagus, specialty lettuces, hot peppers, baby vegetables, berries, papayas, mangoes, avocados, star fruit, and more, sourced from North, Central, and South America. The company serves retail and wholesale food companies, big box stores, and foodservice operators in the US and Canada. Southern has offices in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Florida, Texas, Mexico, and Peru. The company's retail products are sold under the brand names Paradise and Southern Selects. Robert Colescott founded Southern Specialties in 1990.
